Willie Griffin

Willie Mae Griffin, age 94, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at her home. Survived by her children; a son, Lional Bowers of Port Allen; 4 daughters, Ruthie Ceasar (Joseph) and Margie Soileau (Timmy) all of Denham Springs; Virginia Johnson (Barbarosa) of Lancaster, CA and Mona Eaglin (Herman) of Opelousas; a sister in law, Ida Griffin of Denham Springs; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Blanche Griffin, a son, Gerald "Bull" Griffin, a daughter Claire Griffin, two brothers, Ira and Millard Griffin and two sisters, Alice Clark and Rosa Lee Taylor. Visitation at MJR Friendly Service F/H, 7803 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs from 4 pm to 8 pm Friday, Oct. 12. Visitation will resume at Roberts United Methodist Church, 201 Julia St., Denham Springs from 10 am Saturday until religious service at 11 am. Conducted by Bishop James E. Reed. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service F/H, Denham Springs.
