Sylvia McKnight

A resident of Atlanta, Georgia and a native of Greensburg, LA, she departed this life Wednesday May 8, 2013 at the home of Willie James and Joann Lee, surrounded by family. She was 45 years old and employed with Atlanta Journal Constitution for over 25 years. Religious service at Turner Chapel AME Church, 874 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg, Rev. Carolyn Habersham, pastor at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2013. Conducted by Elder Frederick D. Skinner. Interment in Darlington COGIC Cemetery, Darlington. Survived by her siblings, Francis, Carolyn, Juanita, Camile, Emmit, Joann, Brenda, Michael and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Booker T. McKnight and brothers, Charles and Donald McKnight. Arrangements with MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg, LA.
