Joseph McKinley Guntz, Sr., a retired US Air Force veteran and retired Denham Springs Housing Authority employee and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at his home at the age of 82. Survived by his wife, Mildred Guntz of Baton Rouge; his children, Adrienne Guntz-Phipps of Fort Worth, TX; Joseph M. Guntz, Jr. and wife Wanda of San Antonio, TX and Michael W. Guntz and wife Valarie of Baton Rouge; a brother Milburn Guntz and wife Mable of Baton Rouge; a sister, Carolyn Wilderson of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Carrie Guntz, a brother, Cornelius Guntz and two sisters, Elaine Guntz and Janice Forrest. Visitation at Roberts United Methodist Church, 201 Julia St., Denham Springs from 10 am Saturday, Oct. 13 until religious service at 12 noon. Conducted by Minister Emanuel Smith.
