Joe Overton

Joe Overton, 82, a resident of Greensburg, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. He was a retired educator with the St. Helena Parish school system and a US army veteran. Visitation at Turner Chapel AME Church, 875 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg, Rev. Moses Sims, pastor from 9 am Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 until religious service at 11 am. Eulogy by Presiding Elder Otis Lewis. Interment in Turner Chapel Cemetery, Greensburg. Survived by his wife, Leola Overton and a host of other relatives and friends
