Psalm 103
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bishop James Earl Reed, a native of Cortelyou, Alabama and lifelong resident of Denham Springs, LA transitioned this life on October 28th, 2021 at the age of 71. An affiliate of the Gulf South Territory Church of God he was the beloved Pastor of (Intensive Care Ministry of Denham Springs) for 48 years. His love for his parishioners was superseded only by his love of God and for teaching and preaching the Word of God. He lived a life of humility and was affectionately called "Pastor" not only by his church members but by some affiliates and acquaintances as well. Pastor Reed was an integral part of the close-knit fellowship of multi-denominational pastors and ministries of Denham Springs and the surrounding area and will be fondly remembered for his compassion for others, his spontaneous laughter, and for tinkering and working of his automobiles. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Minister Jacquelyn Jackson Reed, (two sons): Grady Muse, Sr. and (wife) Octavia, and Christopher Mekaile Reed. His daughter: Ja'Kailyn Jamese Reed-Coolie (and husband) Louis Coolie, III. (7) Grandchildren and (8) great-grandchildren; (Brothers) Samuel Reed Jr., Malone Reed, David Reed and (wife) Gloria.
