Ida Bell Collins Hall passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Baton Rouge General Hospital, with her loving family and caregivers by her side. She lived to the age of 98.
Ida was born on March 14, 1926, in Augusta Springs, Virginia, and later her family moved to Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Franklin University in Columbus with a degree in Business Administration. Following her studies, she began working for the Federal Government in Washington, DC. During her time in DC, she also attended the Precola DeVore School of Charm and embarked on a modeling career that took her across the country. In 1957, she married her late husband, Dr. Robert Joseph Hall, in Washington, DC. Together they raised three children: Wayne, Robi, and Krystle. In 1964, the family relocated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which became their permanent home.
Jack and Jill Memorial Service for departed mother, Ida Bell Collins Hall, will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, starting at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am, at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 9700 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70807. Interment will take place on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Port Hudson National Cemetery, located at 20978 Port Hickey Road, Zachary, LA 70719.
