Ethel H. Dunn, 87, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Denham Springs, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017. Visitation at Roberts United Methodist Church, 201 Julia St., Denham Springs from 9 am Wed., Oct. 11 until religious service at 11 am. Conducted by Rev. Kermit Roberson. Interment in Baton Rouge National Cemetery. Survived by two daughters, Anita Ann Dunn Jordan of Waco, TX and Terri Lynn Dunn of Baton Rouge; a son, James Edward Dunn of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Velma Hurst, Metairie, Ora Lee Avery, Greensburg and Rose Mary Bell, Boston, MA; nine brothers, Alcee, Fred, Jr., Thomas, Sr., Rev. Mack, Walter, Hollis, Melvin and Marshall Ray Hurst all of Greensburg and Lawrence Hurst, Baton Rouge; a brother in law, Cornelius Dunn, Denham Springs; eight grandchildren, great and greatgreat grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Dunn, father, Fred Hurst Sr., mother, Mildred S. Bell, step mother, Georgie Mae Hurst and a son in law, Tyrus Jordan.
