Ethel Porter, 85, a resident of Greensburg, departed this life Friday Dec. 16, 2016 at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg. Visitation at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 87 Paddio Johnson Lane, Greensburg from 5 pm to 8 pm Thursday, Dec. 22. Religious service at Turner Chapel AME Church, 875 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg at 1 pm Friday. Rev. Moses Simms, Jr., officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by her 11 children, Carol Ann Thomas, Barbara Hall, Reva P. Tillery (Kenneth), Sterling Porter, Pat P. Cornish (Orlando), Rutha Porter, Gloria Porter, Latango Porter and Terica P. Johnson (Gregory) all of Greensburg; Annette P. Jackson (James), Hammond and Robert Porter, Baton Rouge; 8 sisters, 3 brothers, 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and two sons.
