Elaine Rogers, 55, a resident of Independence, departed this life Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Passage Inpatient Hospice, New Orleans. Visitation at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 14455 4th. St., Tickfaw from 5 pm to 8 pm, Friday, June 17, 2016. Visitation will resume at the church from 9 am Saturday until religious service at 10 am. Conducted by Pastor Monroe Jones. Interment in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.
