Deaconess Maude Lee Smith

Deaconess Maude Lee Smith, a true woman of God, entered into eternal rest May 15, 2021, at the blessed age of 94. She was affectionately known as 'Grandma Maude' to some and as 'Sister' to others. Left with loving memories, one daughter, Sarah Lee Williams; one granddaughter, Shiwand Mason (Reginald); and two great-grandchildren, Marquita Taylor and Noah Mason. Also survived by one sister, Evelyn Rudison; and two brothers, Nathaniel Smith, Sr. and Isaiah Smith, Sr. (Lorraine), a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, and other friends and church family whom she loved. Visitation will be Saturday, May 22 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. service time, at Star Hill Baptist Church, 1400 North Foster Drive, Baton Rouge, officiated by Pastor Lynwood C. Spell. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home.
