David {Donnie} {Foots} Newman Sr.

Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.”

David Newman Jr. aka Donnie & Foots,  received his “ Wings” on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called him home. He passed away at Ochsner Health Center, Baton Rouge, La.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Theodore Goodman of Evergreen Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, La. David attended Capitol High  School.

Survived by his daughter Daisy Lee Carr; one brother Waylan Newman; one sister Edna Newman Blunt, son-in-law Reginald Carr Sr.; four grandchildren, Reginald Carr Jr; Rejinae Carr; Romero Carr; and Roman Carr of Houston Texas.

Preceded in death by his father David Newman Sr.; Mother Gertrude Hills; four sisters, Margie Newman Buckley; Russell Gail Newman; Paulette Newman; and Terri Bindom Garner; three brothers Elvin B. Randal; Kevin Newman; and Shawn Newman.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022.  9:00 am till religious service at 11:00 am.

Service will be held at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, 7803 Florida Blvd. East, Denham Springs La.  Conducted by Minister David Lusk.
