Albert Charles Boyd was born January 26, 1955 in Independence, LA. He departed his earthly life on Monday, January 3, 2022. Charles was baptized at an early age at Roberts United Methodist Church. He was a 1973 graduate of Denham Springs High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army. He later continued his education at Southern University. He became a Denham Springs Fireman and he was a self-employed painter. Charles loved music and would spin records under the name of "DJ Old School." He was a member of both Club Anglues and the Backstreet Boys.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Mary Gross Boyd two sons Kwame Kinta Boyd and Carl Anthony Boyd; two daughters, Latifah Marie Felder and Champagne Carlette Felder; One Godchild, Timiera Scott; ; two sisters, Shelia Boyd Morris (Gary), and Rev. Debra Boyd Keller (June); three brothers, Larry T. Lee (Aline), Michael Lee (Mattie) and Donald Ray Boyd (Della); a devoted friend, Cheryl Kinchen, and a mentor/father figure, Ricky Kinchen; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends . Visitation from 4pm – 8pm Thursday, January 13, 2022 at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA; and Friday, January 14, 2022 from 9am until religious service 11am at L.M.
