Akira J. Sims, 33, a resident of Baton Rouge, departed this life Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. Visitation at New Zion Baptist Church, 126 East St., Denham Springs, Rev. Dr. Leroy Taylor, pastor from 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 17 until religious service at 1 pm. Conducted by Elder Joe T. Mitchell. Interment in Plainview Cemetery, Denham Springs. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs
